Sometimes those who say they love mother earth scar her and reach into her depths thinking they are owed something shiny and precious. That all is theirs for the taking.

Sometimes they vilify and try to control her, spilling poison on her and damaging her children, thinking they know better, always know better.

With little understanding of what was right before them if only they could listen. If only they could feel.

If only they could stop.
